My week in great detail.
Gonna bypass this one again.
I'm currently listening to my daughter screaming murder from her room fighting bedtime. Saturday night Chloe climbed out of her crib 7 times. The 6th time she fell and was very angry. So I decided that after church the next day, we'd take down the side panel and make her a day bed.
Originally I thought we'd wait for an actual bed so we wouldn't have to do it twice, but it was to the point of safety being more important.
The first night she was a dream. Went down, only popped up once during the early evening. And slept in to her new normal of 6. Ouch. But, still.
Last night was a little more difficult. I had to start the cry it out method almost immediately. It lasted from 7:30 to 9. She woke up twice in the middle of the night but it wasn't a big deal. It wasn't until 5am that it got rough. It wouldn't have been so bad if it just got me up, but Jamie has this weird disorder where once he is awake, he cant fall back asleep. Weird. My disorder is I cant sleep when Chloe is crying. So we both got up and I agreed with Jamie to keep her in bed until 6:30.
I immediately prayed for Chloe to have comfort and to go back to bed. Jamie was so frustrated because he just has not been sleeping enough. She cried from 5-6:30, when we let her out. The excuses already started. "Mommy, water?! Mommy, food!?"
To help avoid this tonight we were going to put Chloe to bed earlier for her nap so she'd have more time to use up energy. She ended up climbing up on her toy chest, turning on her light and playing for an hour, so she actually got to bed a half hour past her normal time. She did wake up at 3:15 exhausted so we're hoping her not getting enough of a nap will help.
I dont hear her screaming anymore, or I even fidgeting. So, here is hoping. I dont think we could do another 5am wake up call. Any of us.
