Permission denied

I have never been a member of a cool club. I've never had a "member's only" jacket or anything. There is always some part of a lot of people that wants to be on the inside. That wants to be a part of something intimate and specific. That's why there are such things as inside jokes. I have rarely been on the inside.

You may wonder why I'm saying any of this. Well, I'll tell you.

I'm still not allowed to read Ken and Kristen's blog.

Maybe this will change that.

I'll write about our vacation soon, don't worry.

Morning

So our apartment right now has no milk. We were on vacation, after all. So I was grabbing things to eat for breakfast and decided on a yogurt and a can of mandarin oranges. I ate the yogurt and everything was great, and I picked up the oranges to pull on the little tab on the top when I realized: this can had no tab. None of them do; you have to open them with a can opener. As I was sitting here bummed out that I couldn't eat my oranges, I realized something.

I'm home.

We have a can opener.

I happily ate my oranges.

I can definitely feel the four hours of sleep I got. Now I'm off to my internship!

Funny Story

Today there have been quite a few funny stories, but I feel this is the one I want to blog about.
I had to get in the shower between jobs because I did not have the opportunity to earlier that morning seeing as our car is broken. So, like any normal human being, I turned on the shower so it would be hot by the time I got in and sat down to quickly go to the bathroom.

I had just stood up and flushed the toilet, while in a very jovial mood I might add... when BAM! Out of no where I get blind-sided by the bathroom door innocently opened by Jameson. At first I was just kind of shocked that it hit me. Not something that happens often, but it didnt hurt. I started to kind of, maniacally laugh, but not in a certain way. Then suddenly as Jameson apologized and was going in for a hug...

I burst into tears! Bid ol' crocodile tears. I went from this totally awesome 'I get to shower mood' to, I dont even know what to call it. I am proud of Jameson for not laughing at me, cause I was quite the sight to behold. Needless to say, I did end up getting in the shower, luckily I cried most of my mascara off so it didnt hurt.

I just thought it was funny. As mom (or dad for that matter) would say, "Girl". I reserve all rights to be a hormonal, neurotic, mind-changing girl. Hey, it happens!

Epiphany

I have been playing through a wonderful game called Kingdom Hearts. It's a Disney and Squaresoft mashup - Final Fantasy meets Disneyland. What's impressed me is how PERFECT they get the voices for the Disney characters! I mean, some of these movies are twenty years old, and the voices match perfectly. I thought that way until Halloweentown that is. I thought that Jack Skellington's voice was butchered. Horribly.

I was talking to another intern at the school and she said that an explanation might be because this voice is done by this guy.

I want you to watch those clips before you go on. Well, you don't have to watch the whole first one as it is ten minutes long. But if you want, go watch the whole movie. In fact, watch both.

Done? Okay.

Yes, she said that Prince Humperdinck is Jack Skellington's voice.

WHAT? It took me a while, but I hear it now. And I think it's fantastic. I even checked it out on imdb to make sure, and guess what? It's legit.

Guess what else? He also does the voice for not only one, but BOTH of the ps2 Kingdom Hearts games.

That's right. I'm one of those guys that runs into Harrison Ford at the mall and says "hey, you look like the dude who plays Han Solo!"

Work

I worked 11 hours last night with one fifteen minute break and one half hour lunch. This will be a common theme this week because they are resetting the whole grocery section.

I just have to keep telling myself there are only two more days until my weekend...just two more days...

Children

Tonight Jameson and I babysat for the family he home teaches. Cute kids. We've watched them before. Their baby, Lucy has some "separation anxiety" from her mother. Yeah... she cried the WHOLE time they were gone to the temple unless Jameson or I took her in the back room and sang to her. It was cute, dont get me wrong. But a crying baby is only cute for so long. Especially when they aren't a relative, cause you cant just stick them in their bed, nor do you know what works for them. Either way, it was a tiring way to spend an evening before going in to work.

Y'all will be glad to know that I put in my 2 weeks notice at APX. I know... took me long enough. I am very excited about it. I'll miss the extra income. But I have got to get some sleep and an actual routine. My body is kind of in limbo right now and I'm dying to get back in a pool. I GOT MY HAIR CUT TODAY! I love it. I took in my senior picture and got it cut after that haha. Only problem is that she thinned the bajeebers out of my hair! It is like... I'm a cancer patient! No offence. It is just crazy thin. Nice to be light, sad to be... gone.

Nothing else to really report yet. We're excited for the reunion in two weeks in Washington and the other reunion in four weeks in California... we'd be more excited if our AC worked in the car. Yeah. We're still in love (in the way the sickens Bon to hear about), Utah is still growing on us, we're still learning how to read one another and our mantra is still:
LIFE IS GOOD!

Blogssss

So I have been meaning to write in this for a while now, and I figure what better time to write than when I'm doing nothing but watching Scrubs? Probably a time when I'm not watching Scrubs. This show is awesome. Anyway. Lots has been happening lately, and I'll touch on a few things.

My birthday was amazing. Becky got me the sweetest watch ever and I love it and I would wear it all the time but if I wore it to work it would get ruined. See, it's a white watch. It's awesome. So we went to Tucanos with a few people and it was great! It's been too long since I've been there. Meat and grilled pineapple...mmm. Afterward we played games with family and a couple friends. I got Mario Galaxy 2, which is a fantastic game. Thanks Brenton, Jessica and Adam! I also got an amazing card from Becky's parents. All in all, it was a perfect day.

Work has been going well. I now have a set schedule: Sunday through Thursday, starting at 10:30 pm. Becky works Friday and Saturday. We will never sleep in the same bed again haha. No, honestly it's going well. I'm still not completely used to sleeping during the day, so I still wake up at nine or so in the morning. So that's about five hours of sleep or so. Naps save my life.

Anyway, I actually need to get going. Sorry this is a lame post but hey, I can't be a genius all the time.

Contrary to popular belief.
