So for those of you unfamiliar with Netflix, there are several categories of shows and movies on the homepage that routinely change but are all invariably categories nobody would ever think of making for themselves (Witty classic mother-daughter movies featuring a strong female lead). A category that I believe is a fairly new addition is the "top ten picks for Jameson" category. Obviously this is only on accounts with the name of "Jameson" but anyway. I looked up there today as I was searching for something to watch and was...enlightened.
Let me set up with some shows we've watched recently:
-How I Met Your Mother (the show we've probably watched the most lately)
-Tangled (Chloe)
-Care Bears (Chloe)
-Yo Gabba Gabba (Chloe and me)
-Howl's Moving Castle (us, but Chloe loved it)
Now let's take a look at the top ten picks:
10: Fruits Basket. Some weird anime about little girls.
9: Dino Squad. I have absolutely no clue.
8. Blue's Clues
7. Liberty's Kids (Even less of a clue)
6. Johnny Test. An animated kid's doing a karate kick on the front.
5. Dutch. Some movie. Has a man. That's all I know. Battle of the socioeconomic classes?
4. The Lion of Sodor. A Thomas the train engine movie.
3. VeggieTales: Dave and the Giant Pickle
2. Lost in Austin. A little girl reads Jane Austin! Original.
Aaaand...drum roll please...
The number one recommended show is Power Rangers: SPD.
Yes.
Power Rangers: SPD. Not even the normal power rangers. Some rip off show created ten years later that is, according to the description, about the (get this) backup unit of power rangers in space. It's a show about a lamer squad of a lamer squad of power rangers.
Now maybe I deserve this. After all, I do have the original Power Rangers movie in our instant queue for nostalgia's sake. I haven't watched it, but someday I probably will. But still...
After all the show's I've watched. Power Rangers. Bravo unit. In space.
