As an English Lit major I get this question a lot,
"What is your favorite book?"
And I feel like, as an English major, I should have an answer. Truth is, I dont. Which is why I am glad I followed my impression that led me to marry Jameson. Some of you may know that the day before I met Jameson for the second time, Spokane was hit with a huge snow storm that would've made it very dangerous to try and make my GRE test the next day. So we canceled my flight which was canceled anyway, got the test refunded and the next day, when I was supposed to be testing, I saw Jameson.
I am not saying in an alternate decision making universe I wouldn't have done well and become a good English teacher. But I am saying I think I have a quirk that wouldn't be seen as a quality. I read for entertainment--to a fault. Sure I still pick up my Hemingway, Faulkner and occasional poets but I am perfectly satisfied with popcorn reading. To me, it's not a bad thing. I love it.
My favorite series, because it was my first, David Eddings Pawn of Prophecy. First real series suggested by my brother Ken.
My favorite classic is the Count of Monte Cristo. Great great great read! Dont watch the movie. At least not without the cut scene where Mercedes tells off her standin husband.
For some reason I keep wanting to say my favorite is Once and Future King. Time for a re-read!
