Reason #68 I love Jameson

Tonight we were running a little late to get Jameson to class so we decided I'd drop him off on my way to the grocery store. I thought we were taking off, but I look behind me and realize Jameson isn't there.

He is back in the baby's room. So I venture in to see what he is doing. He is rummaging through his Darth Vader head-shaped box(?) full of mini action figures from when the movies originally came out. I asked him if he needed it for class. He said no, but that he needed it to help him stay awake. *confused look on my face*

Then he pulls put two versions of the Millennium Falcon asking which he should take. Then he said he would take a star destroyer or something but that it is too slow. Then... and here is reason #68... he proceeds to make "flying" and "shooting" sounds with the figures he chose. All the way out the door he could be heard whooshing and popping and braking.

He flew it out the door. He flew it at the 'alien mothership' (me). He shot bad guys. He flew around the dash of the car. It was probably one of the cutest things I have ever seen him do. And it reminded me of one of the many reasons that I love my husband. He never ceases to be amused, he takes joy in little things, he is a child at heart and he isn't afraid to laugh at himself or be laughed at.

#68: I love that Jameson still plays with his childhood toys with the enthusiasm he had when he first received them.

  1. Hmmm.... I can actually see Jameson doing that. You both are such fun people and make a cute couple!

  2. By the way, Becky most definitely dubbed herself the alien mothership. I had nothing to do with the label.
