During the school year I never read for fun. This is because of how much I have to read for my classes (yeah I average between 100 and 200 pages a week). But it's almost over and I get to finally read something for fun. And I am excited. And here is hopefully what I'm going to get done this summer:
-The Princess Bride. I am currently in the middle of the book. I haven't read it since January, but I've seen the movie enough times I can pick it up right where I left off. So much better than the movie by the way.
-The Queen of Attolia/The King of Attolia/Whatever the fourth book is called, by Megan Whalen Turner. I've read the first book (the Thief) and it is fantastic. A very easy read (it is juvenile fiction) but it is amazing.
-The Five People You Meet In Heaven by Mitch Albom. I got this book for Christmas last year (read: like 30 months ago) and haven't read it yet. Becky says we'll read it together.
-Untitled by Ken Parnell. Ken wrote a book and everyone says it's fantastic so I'll give it a whirl. It sounds interesting that's for sure.
Hopefully I get through those, and if I do I have plenty of other books to start. The Bourne series, Rhapsody, I imagine I'll finish the Twilight series sometime (I read the first two books a while ago). Maybe I'll do another run through of The Lord of the Rings. Fantastic stuff. Anyway. I'm excited! Have a great day everyone.

I loved reading The Princess Bride! The book is just a little bit different than the movie, but has the same great feel to it. Great choice!
ReplyDeleteThe book we are reading for our book club is The Story of Edgar Sawtelle by David Wroblewski. I hear it's a play off of Hamlet. depressing i assume, but highly recommended.
