So it's been forever since we've written anything. The past week or so, I'll get on my dashboard once a day, see how long it's been, try to think of something to write for about a minute, decide there's too much to cover, maybe write something for one of my other blogs, and then sign off. That's kind of how it's been. So today, instead of trying to recap everything, I'll be presenting thoughts in tiny dashed form and hope they add together to make something worthwhile. Ready? Okay!
-Christmas is awesome. First and foremost. It's been super great to see my parents; we've loved having them in the country again.
-I got an interview at UNL! It's for a PhD program. I leave for Nebraska and stay with my brother-in-law for two days in January. I'm super incredibly nervous.
-I've decided to be a reader again. Unfortunately I have far too many books to read; I am currently in the middle of three. I'm taking another go-through of the Five Love Languages and am about halfway through, I'm reading the First King of Shannara and am about forty pages in, and I started Game of Thrones, my new Christmas present. Busy busy.
-I now play Words With Friends. With two friends. My proudest word so far is shank just because it's awesome. I've been schooled with deprive, veiling, and vowels.
-I got Gears of War 3 for Christmas. What better way to bond with my brother and father than by chainsawing radioactive aliens that burst from the ground?
-Everyone should go out and buy Soul Punk by Patrick Stump. That CD is fantastic.
-I'm currently at a strange lull where I've actually finished all of the video games that I started. The decision now is whether to take another go at one of the games I've beaten or start a new one.
-Movies we got for Christmas: Six. TV seasons: One. Books: Eleven.
Anyway, that's about it. I'll actually write a real blog soon, but we're going to watch a movie and play a game now. Off we go!
