Catching Up

Well! It's been a long time since I've written anything on here. As usual, the longer it gets the harder it is to actually write. But here goes nothing.

I had my birthday! I went to work in the morning with a Keith Urban CD that Becky gave me. While I was there, my wonderful work friends surprised me with a Carrot Cake from Whole Foods (can you say delicious?), a Spiderman balloon that's just now finally died, and a card. Sweet of them. I got home and Becky burst out with some nice gifts and then made me Alice Springs Chicken. I know, I scored right? All in all, a wonderful birthday.

As a side note, my daughter is sitting on my lap. She literally just crammed an entire half of a banana into her waiting trap. I don't even know if I could do that. Hungry girl.

I got a call on the way home from the temple. It was a call for an interview at Mercer University in Atlanta GA. The interview was for the following week, so I finangled my schedule around, made a few calls, bought a (very expensive) plane ticket and flew on out! I feel very good about the interview, but I've felt very good about interviews before so I'm trying to not read too much into it. I also was able to go look at an apartment, and after some weird rigamarole we now are renting an apartment starting the beginning of August in Roswell, Georgia. No matter what we're coming down! We're very excited to go.

I think a special thank you needs to go to Bonnie and her family for housing me not once, but twice in the last couple months as I've been on this grad school journey. Of course, I actually got to see her this time, so her plot to avoid me failed. Bwahaha.

Anyway, that's a little bit of catch up. Not much here, I know, but who says blog posts have to be long?
