In review

It's been over a week. That's a long time. I usually wait until I have something even remotely interesting to write about before I write in this blog, but there are several times like this where it's been so long that I start grasping at straws to try and figure something out. Well, I'm still not sure what to write about, but this cycle must be broken. Today.

It has actually been a long, hard, fantastic week. Last Sunday, Becky and I prepared our lessons for third hour. I'm the elder's quorum secretary and she is the relief society secretary, making once every few months our turn to teach. Well, on the way inside church she tells me a fear of hers: getting ready to teach a lesson and finding out it is someone else's turn. Which made sense when I thought about it...you would feel pretty stupid. Naturally, when she goes inside relief society, guess what? Another teacher. All in all she was grateful as she wasn't feeling the greatest, but it is still entertaining to think about. Lest you think I'm a jerk, she feels the same way.

So my internship is officially over. Done. Complete. I turned in my keys on Friday and I'm not going back. It's a weird feeling, as I've been there five days a week since May, but it's a good feeling too. I'll get some rest now before school starts. Which is awesome. So my capstone course is officially done, and now I just have 45 credits or so left to take! Awesome.

We went to our ward campout on Friday and Saturday and it was great. The weather was beautiful! Not a cloud in sight and I forgot how many stars there are in the sky. We went up to the mountains to camp and it got cold at night which made me even more excited for the fall than I already am. Then we come down here and it's still 85 or 90 or whatever. Sigh. Oh well, it will come soon enough.

We celebrated Becky's birthday yesterday (her birthday is on Monday). I'm sure she'll want to write about it so I'll let her do so. Thank you Jessica and Adam for being kind enough to let us crash your apartment and thank you for the present! I'll get just as much enjoyment from it as Becky will. It was Disney movies to all you people now guessing.

Well, that's kind of been our week. I'm enjoying life. It's hard and tight but full of joy and love, and that's all that matters.
