Non-work goals

So I'm an intern and I just got a job on the overnight team at Target. Becky is currently working two jobs, but is thinking of quitting one. In short, we're busy. A lot of focus is going on these things: I have to do well in my internship and school, and Becky has to do well enough to warrant her position. That's why I'm making goals this summer right here that aren't focused on work or school. And here they are.

1. Be a better husband.
Becky goes to work and yes I do go to my internship, but I'm home a lot more often than she is. The apartment, under my watch, has fallen into a state that lacks a pristine characteristic, if you understand my meaning. She comes home, we watch tv, we go to bed, whatever. I'm going to do better. I'm going to actually clean the house well and make it presentable. Scrub the bathroom, the whole nine. It will be great.
I'm also going to take care of Becky more. It has been a while since we've been on a date, or gone to the temple. Our schedules have been so transitory we have yet to figure out exactly what's going on. I'm going to fix that. I'm going to ask my wife out on dates and we're going to enjoy ourselves, whether that means going on a walk or going to take a photo shoot at a park or going to a dollar movie or whatever. I'm going to do my best to make sure it happens.

2. Read.
I finished the last three books in the thief series in about two weeks and I don't know what to start next, so I haven't read anything. So this is it. We have a full bookshelf and a library and I'm going to get some reading done.

3. Actually finish a video game.
I started Kingdom hearts in September or something like that. I think I've played 15 hours total. I started Mario Galaxy in January and I'm about 1/3 to 1/2 of the way done. I started Twilight Princess in February and I have beaten the first temple. In other words, I haven't done much on these fantastic games here. There are also 7 other games we have that I have yet to even play. I'm going to finish one. Starting with Kingdom Hearts. I gotta get out of that whale's belly.

These are in order of importance. There is a reason being a better husband is at the top and video games are at the bottom. Somewhere in there I'd also like to add in playing more guitar and writing poems and songs again (it's been months since I've written) but we'll start with that and see how the cookie crumbles.
