My computer broke. Shocker. About two-three weeks ago. Long enough to forget it. It is actually kinda funny, you see, it crashed so I had to take it into the only genius bar in Utah, SLC The Gateway mall. They were the second group of people to discover my hard drive was dead. Jameson was the first. I got rather upset at them when they said they wouldn't be able to recover anything because 1. I have lost all my college work 2. I dont have any of my old pictures from college 3. I lost all the texts I saved while Jameson and I were dating and 4. (perhaps the most important depending on perspective) when mom and I were visiting Grandma before she died, mom had be transcribe stories Grandma told to us. It isn't backed up, it isn't saved elsewhere. I have the only copies. They are now sitting on a 'dead drive' in a bag. They gave me a number in California that try to recover that stuff but, and i quote, "they do get pricey". Then comes the ethical question, can you put a price on memoirs? Good thing: we didn't pay a thing for my upgraded hard drive. The Mac people sent out a notice, my serial number was to have a new hard drive put into it the next time I visited. My computer is so screwed up they had to send out a notice about me. At least I have more memory now... and it was free... Blessed that I have a crappy computer? I guess so!
