Oh Where Oh Where Did My Little Girl Go?

This post has been a few weeks coming. We were going to start trying for another baby in August but because of the move we have no government documents and cant apply for health insurance. So we're waiting. In the meantime, I've been looking at pictures. Like this:

Yeah... my sweet beautiful beautiful baby Chloe Elizabeth.

Lately, my baby disappeared. And in her place is a little girl. More specifically, this TODDLER girl:

Chloe is now speaking in sentences. Her first sentence was repeating back a song "Rain came down". Yesterday she put her own sentence together, "Thank you for water".

Chloe now throws away her own diapers. She initiated it on own her own but also does it when asked.

Chloe cleans up her toys. When she wants to start with a new toy she knows she has to put away her others first.

Chloe is playing with other children. Not just next to them. She is holding hands and Ring-Around-the-Rosie-ing!

Chloe is insisting she feed herself breakfast. We can still help her with some things. But Cream of Wheat is all hers. We bought her new spoons for the occasion.

Chloe's Aunt Kristen bought her a box to fit in shapes. I've been telling her the shapes and pointing to the corresponding holes. Jameson sat with her yesterday and she would point to the right hole then put the shape in. She even named over the half of them.

Chloe points to letters and knows what they are. She can spell her name. And when she sees a sign or clothes with letters she points to them immediately to name or  or ask "what's that?"

She may always be my "baby girl" but she has certainly become my little girl.
