Blessing Day

Chloe's big blessing day has come and gone and it was amazing!

It started out a beautiful day. Chloe was giggling and smiling and took everything wonderfully! It started to snow just before we left and that is when things got a little crazy. We tried to drive to church but the road was blocked off because apparently the blue and white game was that day.

We got in the parking lot at 11am (when it was supposed to start). We reported to our room and kitchen but it turned out the bridal shower going on in there was going long and they were still using the kitchen. So I walked in and told them I needed the rooms because it was after 11 (which they didnt realize). They kept the room and shut the door but they did give up the kitchen. So that worked out.

Luckily everyone found a way into the church and we were all ready to bless the baby by 11:15. Chloe had felt the stress of us moving around and trying to find a new room so she was super fussy. I gave her to Jameson and they began the blessing. Chloe immediately stopped crying when Jameson began. He gave a very sweet short blessing. Blessed her with optimism, a quick smile, to have a testimony and the ability to be an example to those she meets as well as her family members. It was awesome!

We recruited everyone to set up tables that we covered with Chloe's quilts and covered those with plastic so they wouldn't spill on them. We had soup. Mama Ranck made taco soup and chili, Becky Hunter made a creamy chicken taco soup and we ordered Minestrone from Olive Garden ;) Jessica made cakeballs, we made cookies, Mama Ranck made cookies. It was very relaxed and we loved it!

It was a beautiful day and we missed having my siblings there but we loved having you all there in spirit.
